Rowanmoor Pensions partners Brooks Macdonald in new bespoke SIPP
Rowanmoor Pensions has joined forces with wealth management specialist Brooks Macdonald and created a working partnership to bring together two areas of expertise essential for a high quality SIPP; excellent administration and a bespoke investment service.
The Rowanmoor Pensions Brooks Macdonald BPS SIPP is designed to offer investors with SIPP portfolios in excess of £200,000 the benefits of each firm’s expertise in one efficient and cost effective package. It offers value for money, with investments individually tailored for each client’s circumstances.
The assets of a Rowanmoor Pensions Brooks Macdonald BPS SIPP can include:
- a portfolio of investments, including cash, managed by Brooks Macdonald Asset Management on a discretionary basis through Brooks Macdonald’s Bespoke Portfolio Service (BPS);
- commercial property;
- borrowing associated with commercial property purchase;
- cash deposits held in the SIPP bank account with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
Bespoke Portfolio Service
Minimum investment
£200,000
Initial fees and annual management charges
- No initial charge on any new funds invested in the portfolio
- A maximum annual management charge of 0.75%+VAT
Transaction Charges
- Transfer of holdings to another institution (by CREST, electronically or into a paper share certificate) – £25 per stock
- Foreign exchange transactions – £40 for transactions over £1,000 and the Company’s current bankers prevailing rate for transactions below £1,000
- CHAPS payments – £10 per transaction
- Historic Valuation and Probate Services – 0.2% of the value of the portfolio (minimum £100/maximum £250) subject to VAT
Investments individually tailored for each client’s circumstances
All funds placed into the Bespoke Portfolio Service under a Rowanmoor Pensions Brooks Macdonald BPS SIPP are invested with Brooks Macdonald Asset Management in accordance with each client’s individual investment objectives, tax status, attitude to risk and other personal circumstances.
The funds are actively managed by the investment professionals at Brooks Macdonald Asset Management who aim to provide high risk adjusted returns on the capital invested.
Commercial property investment option
Investment in commercial property is available as an option in addition to Brooks Macdonald’s Bespoke Portfolio Service. Rowanmoor Pensions standard SIPP property related fees will apply.
Online valuations and reports
Live valuations and SIPP data can be accessed at any time through the Rowanmoor Pensions and Brooks Macdonald websites. The Rowanmoor Pensions’ unique online SIPPView service gives instant access to important information such as your SIPP investments, bank transactions and benefit information; so clients will be able to access all of the information they need at a time that suits them.
Rowanmoor Pensions’ SIPP Administration
Rowanmoor Pensions receives a fee from Brooks Macdonald of 13.33% of the annual management charge. This fee covers the cost of establishing the Rowanmoor Pensions Brooks Macdonald BPS SIPP and standard ongoing administration services.
No additional fees are ordinarily payable to Rowanmoor Pensions until benefits are taken, unless the SIPP is used for commercial property investment.
Published service standards
Administration of the Rowanmoor Pensions Brooks Macdonald BPS SIPP is subject to Rowanmoor Pension’s stringent SIPP service standards, and performance figures are published monthly.
