Shirley Hylands, Director and Company Secretary, is responsible for company secretarial activities, compliance arrangements for the FSA regulated companies within Rowanmoor Group plc and broader corporate governance and risk controls. Shirley has over 20 years of experience in financial services, joining TSB (Lloyds/TSB) in 1988 from private practice, to focus on company secretarial, compliance and legal arrangements with particular responsibility for retail operations. Shirley subsequently joined Abbey National in 1998 to focus on intermediary activities and proposition development in the intermediary arena. Shirley is former Chairman of the London and Southern Region Compliance Institute Committee.

Beginning his career in a Financial Services Brokerage after graduating in 1984, Mark Lisle, Compliance Manager, then worked as a Broker Consultant for Legal and General and Friends Provident. Mark became the archetypal poacher-turned-gamekeeper in 1998, when he joined Frizzell in a compliance role. A series of promotions led to his appointment as Liverpool Victoria Group Advertising Officer, before he moved to Tenon as Compliance Manager, then Abbey. Mark is former Secretary of the Compliance Institute South West Regional Committee.
